SSSCE Applicants
Credit Passes (A-D) in SIX (6) subjects including English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science and THREE (3) Electives including Elective Mathematics and Physics.
WASSCE Applicants
Credit Passes (A1-C6) in SIX (6) subjects including English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science and THREE (3) Electives including Elective Mathematics and Physics.
PROFESSIONAL AND POST-DEGREE/DIPLOMA Applicant
Diploma and Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent. Degree in other fields can also apply First-Class or Second-Class Upper Division will be admitted at level 300. Those with Second Class Lower Division or Pass will enter at level 200.

Candidates should have Credit Passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three (3) relevant elective subjects including Elective or Further Mathematics or Business Mathematics.
WASSCE Applicants
WASSCE Candidates should have Credit Passes (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three (3) relevant elective subjects including Elective or Further Mathematics or Business Mathematics.
MATURED APPLICANT
SSSCE Applicants
Candidates should have Passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising core subjects, including English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science; and three (3) elective science subjects from Chemistry, Physics/Applied Electricity and Mathematics.
WASSCE Applicants
WASSCE Candidates should have Credit Passes (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects comprising core subjects, including English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies; and three (3) elective science subjects including Elective/Further Mathematics. In addition, SSSCE and WASSCE Candidates should have at least a Pass in the 4th core subject.
MATURED APPLICANT
SSSCE/WASSCE Applicants
To be admitted to the BSc. Medical Laboratory Science programme, all applicants must pass an entrance exam and attend an interview. In addition, SSSCE Candidates should have Credit Passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising 3 mandatory/core subjects that must include English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science; and three (3) elective subjects as follows Biology, Chemistry, Elective Mathematics/Physics. WASSCE Candidates should have Credit Passes (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects comprising 3 mandatory/core subjects that must include English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science; and three (3) elective subjects as follows: Biology, Chemistry, Elective Mathematics/Physics.
Foreign Applicants
To be admitted to the BSc. Medical Laboratory Science programme, all applicants must pass an entrance exam and attend an interview. In addition to the above, other qualifications acceptable for consideration for admission include International Baccalaureate (IB), IGCSE, GCSE, American Grade 13 examinations and other external qualifications which have equivalences to the WASSCE/SSSCE and the GCE (A Levels). Foreign certificates shall be referred to NAB for evaluation. International students whose first language is not English are required to have one of the following English language qualifications before they can register on the programme. However, applicants from English-speaking countries may have these requirements waived.
Professional and Post-Diploma Applicants

All candidates with diploma in medical laboratory technology, and advanced diploma medical laboratory technology holding relevant professional certificates and who obtained a pass or better will enter at level 300 (Top-up).

All applicants with a Diploma in nursing, and advanced diploma (nursing specialization) having relevant professional certificates from the NMC with a pass or better will enter at level 300.
Enrolled Nurses
Applicants with a certificate in Nursing from a recognized Nursing and Midwifery Training College MUST pass an Access Course administered by the University and show evidence of approved study leave from their institutions. In addition, such applicants MUST have WASSCE/SSSCE passes in three (3) Core subjects and two (2) electives in the appropriate subjects or credit passes in five subjects including English Language, Science and Mathematics at GCE ‘O’ Level. All applicants with a certificate in nursing will enter at level 200.
